FanDuel Pinch Hit Protection: Invite-Only Bonus Bets MLB Promo
What is FanDuel's Pinch Hit Protection?
Pinch Hit Protection is an exclusive, invite-only promotion at FanDuel Sportsbook, running the entirety of the 2026 Major League Baseball season. If selected, for a pre-determined duration, all your eligible pre-live MLB bets will live on even if your player exits the game - for any reason. If their replacement completes the bet, you'll be paid out your winnings in Bonus Bets instead.
You're invited to Pinch Hit Protection!
Unlike other promotions and offers at FanDuel, the Pinch Hit Protection is not available to anyone by simply opting in. It requires an invitation from the sportsbook, sent out either by email or via an in-app/desktop notification.
How Does MLB Pinch Hit Protection Work?
- Turn on your notifications: If invited, you will be contacted by email or via in-app/desktop notification. No opt-in is required, Pinch Hit Protection will automatically be applied to your future eligible bets.
- Place a qualifying wager: Place a bet on an eligible MLB market.
- The sweat: If your player is removed from the game - for any reason - before the final out, Pinch Hit Protection is activated.
- The payout: If the replacement player records the hit or home run needed to complete your wager, FanDuel will treat the stat as belonging to your original player, paying out your winnings as Bonus Bets instead of cash.
Note: Bonus Bets will be credited within 24 hours of bet settlement, and they expire exactly 7 days after being issued.
Eligible & Ineligible Bets
Pinch Hit Protection is valid for eligible pre-live MLB bets throughout the 2026 season. These include, but may not be limited to:
- 1+ Hits (MLB Player Props)
- 1+ Home Runs (MLB Player Props)
- Straight bets
- Parlays
- Same Game Parlays
If you place a parlay or SGP, your Pinch Hit leg must be the only losing leg of the parlay to receive the Bonus Bets. If the replacement player gets the hit, but another completely different leg of your parlay loses, you get nothing.
Wagers must be placed with real money - Tokens, Bonus Bets and FanDuel Credits are non-eligible. The promotion is not available for any non-MLB markets, and this includes parlays with multiple sports. Round Robin wagers, Futures, Player Specials plus "And/Or" markets are ineligible.
How Can I Join The Pinch Hit Protection?
Verified account holders have a chance to receive an invitation to the Pinch Hit Protection at any point during the 2026 Major League Baseball season. FanDuel does not state any ways to improve your odds of being invited; the terms simply state: "Sponsor will invite certain FanDuel Account holders, at its sole discretion, to participate in this Promotion". No opting in or promo code is required.
However, if we are to speculate freely, invitations to these type of promotions are normally sent out to a massive amount of players, not only a few selected VIPs. The criteria may change frequently, and could for example be to invite anyone who has placed an MLB bet in the last 30 days, or users who haven't logged in for a set amount of time.

Promo Eligible States & Age Requirements
To take part in this FanDuel promotion, you must be a verified account holder in an eligible state, abiding by local age requirements. In addition, you must be selected by the sportsbook and receive an invitation to the Pinch Hit Protection promo. If invited, no opting in is required; the function will be activated automatically on eligible bets, for the duration stated with the invite.
