Which bookie offers the most extra places?
I looked at the range of available Extra Place races over a typical week of racing (no major events) and across a selection of bookmakers, and this is what I found:
Betfred and bet365 offered extra places most frequently (at least 5 races per day every day)
BoyleSports offered the most extra places per suitable race (4 or more places).
- 1.20 are the standard odds, although this can change.
- Generally speaking, the rule for horses is that all 7 horses must run for 3 places to be offered, 12+ horses must run for 4 places, 16+ horses must run for 5 places, 20+ must run for 6 and 22+ horses must run for 7 places to be offered in the race.
